Waves Z-noise Vs Izotope

  1. Nice try though. I haven't tried Waves L3, but apparently it's just a maximizer/limiter. In that case, i'd try FOR FREE the infamous TLs Maximizer. AND MAudio's Izotope Ozone seems like the whole deal, with Multi-band Dynamics, a Paragraphic EQ, Mastering Reverb, Loudness Maximizer, and Dithering along with other stuff.
  2. IZotope Ozone 5 vs Waves Plugins I agree that if you really know what you're doing and spend enough time on it Waves might end up sounding better, but if you're short on time I really don't think it's worth the time and effort.
  3. The full is 1100 or so. Waves is 480-460?? Max Arwood read the latest sound on sound, waves got wiped by wavearts, big time secondly, the advancd features in izotopes $1100 package would only be needed by dedicated restoration experts lastly, the izotope examples sound great, and the features in the $199 one are still more than the waves.
  4. IMO both produce better products than Waves/Izotope and offer considerably more 'user friendly' licence and update deals. I demoed Ozone recently - as I own Trash2 there's some ridiculous offer on where I can get the whole Izotope production bundle for $249. It just didn't do it for me though (I have most PSP plug-ins).

for anyone who has used both of these plugins.......which would you use to 'master' your own mixes, ......and why?
The Ozone all-in-one plug seems to have all the essential tools needed to do a decent 'home attempt' to master your own mixes, but would you think it lacks quality to some of the Wave individual plug-ins like their L3, linEQ, compressors?
For the most part, ill only use final EQ (to sweeten the overall mix), some compression (to tame the overall sound/tracks for peaks), and then a limiter to bring up the volume...........and have mainly used the Ozone 3 plug to do this type of stuff to attempt to a 'do-it-yourself mastering'.
which do you prefer, and why?
